Happy National School Counselor Week to Tracy Carter, Megan Brock, Tina Buckley, and Kim Haley! Thank you for all you do for the students of the Winona-Montgomery School District.


Dorothy Triplett has been an Alternative Instructional Assistant for the Winona-Montgomery School District for the past three years. Outside of school, Ms. Triplett enjoys crafts, writing, going to Sunday School, and crocheting.
Her favorite Tiger memory is seeing the academic growth within the school district.
Fun Facts about Ms. Triplett: “I love the outdoors life adventures, deer, foxes, coyotes, squirrels, and racoons.”


Ken Rosamond has been a bus driver for the Winona-Montgomery School District for the past three years. Outside of school, Ken enjoys hunting, fishing, and working with the Boy Scouts.
His favorite memory: “Lockhart spinning the Choctaw County quarterback across the field like a carousel.”
Fun fact about Ken: “I sometimes behave like an adult.”

Honoring the legacy of Dr. King.


In honor of the Winona Montgomery School District’s elevation to a State of Mississippi High Performing district rating this year, Dr. Howard Savage presented the WMSD Board of Trustees with a trophy Tuesday night to commemorate the district’s academic achievement. The trophy will travel to Winona Elementary School, Winona Secondary School, and Winona Career and Technical Center before returning to the WMSD District Office. This outstanding achievement of enormous growth was a district-wide accomplishment.

WMSD hosted William Carey University as a new community partner. Thank you to everyone that joined us for a successful public interest meeting. As a WMSD partner, WCU is offering discounted tuition, online classes, and no application fees.
There are programs available for those already with four year degree, an associates degree, or for those looking to start a new degree program for the first time!
