Thank you for your years of service to the students of the Winona-Montgomery School District!

The Winona-Montgomery School District's Board of Trustees adopted a new Dress Code Policy at Tuesday's regular meeting. Uniforms will NOT be required for the 2024-2025 school year, but the new policy does have specifications for what students are allowed to wear to school. WMSD Police Department is constantly working to improve the safety of our students, staff, and visitors. SRO Michael Peeples recently completed the Basic SRO class in Columbus MS and the School Law class in Southaven. We’ve added staff with the addition of Doyle Moore as our new crossing guard at the Powell Street intersection. And we’ve added the OPENGATE weapon detection system to our district, allowing us to scan for any weapons on campus and extracurricular activities. Chief Burrell and SRO Peeples participated in training on April 5 at WSS with students and administrators.

(Pictured from left) Chief Mac Burrell, Department of Rehabilitation Jennifer Gray, PROM speakers Kim and Robin Thomas, MS Highway Patrolman Jose Watson, WSS junior Braxton Myers, and SRO Michael Peeples were excited to participate and support the PROM (Please Return On Monday) program for juniors and seniors at Winona Secondary School this week.
