Dual Enrollment / Dual Credit

Recently, the students at Winona High School who were enrolled in Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Courses 1st Semester at Holmes Community College received stipends for completing their classes with an A or B.  Each student received $100 dollars for each course completed with the qualifying grade.  Students earned approximately 75 credit hours during the semester.  Students can take English Comp I & II, College Algebra, Psychology, US History, Music and Art Appreciation and several other courses through Holmes Community College.  Students who live in the zone for Sumner Grant Funds may take these classes at no cost.  The stipends are provided through Federal Funds that encourage the recruitment and retention of students to college.
