WHS Names Abbi Cataldo Assistant Softball & Volleyball Coach
Originally from Altoona, Iowa, Abbi Cataldo graduated from Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Her Collegiate career began at Indian Hills Community College, where she competed as a member of the softball team while earning her Associate of Arts.
Abbi continued her playing career at Delta State University, where she became deeply integrated into the Lady Statesmen program. She played outfield and earned her way into the record books for Single Season Home-runs. After completing her eligibility, she remained with the program as a Graduate Assistant, gaining essential experience in collegiate player development, scouting, and the administrative side of high-level athletics.
Abbi’s leadership experience includes serving as the Head Softball Coach at North Sunflower Academy. Currently, she is further refining her skills as an educator through the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Delta State University. With a Bachelor of Science and a minor in Coaching, she combines her firsthand knowledge of the game with a professional approach to teaching.
