It’s a Great Day to be a TIGER!

Academic Programming On Friday, December 11th students will participate in an at-home learning day so teachers can learn more about and plan for blended learning activities.  On Saturday, December 12th, the ACT will be administered in the Plato Lab on the Winona Secondary School campus.  Check-in begins at 7:30am and testing begins at 8:00am. Christmas break for students and employees will December 21st through January 1st.  Everyone will return to school on Monday, January 4th.

Operations WMCSD congratulates five Tiger football players named to All-State Teams.  Deriaun Townsend was named to the 1st Team as a running back.  Second team honors were awarded to Robert McMath - wide receiver, Cohlton Triplett - center, Devontae Bays - offensive tackle, and Dadarion Small - free safety.  In basketball news, the Tiger boys’ team is 9-0 on the season. What a great start for Coach Coleman and his team!

The WMCSD Board of Trustees voted to install air conditioning in Knox Gym.  This is something that has been needed for a long time so the teams can practice comfortably in the summer months.  The heating/air project at Winona Secondary and the roofing projects at both schools have been completed.  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new windows at Winona Secondary School as this will greatly enhance the look of the exterior of WSS.
